A quick look on google maps & a virtual jaunt up the street looks pretty good to me! I'm visiting my friend in Seattle in a few weeks and we will be dialing in final ELEGY BEACH maps (they'll also be available for iPhone) and making revisions to the ARIEL maps.

Thanks a ton!

Y'know, I should have taken a picture and sent it; I think the Google Maps street view shows a picture from a while ago, when the place was still under construction. I'll see if I can do that tomorrow. (Though I'll be going to an SCA event; tourney tomorrow night and melees on Saturday. Fighting guys young enough to be my kids.)

There; sorry for the two-week delay. I'm attaching a .jpg file.

I like it! Thanks so much! Monday I'm off to Seattle to work with my friend Adrian on finalizing the ELEGY BEACH maps, and we'll update the ARIEL maps as well and incorporate this.

An obvious question is -- can you stick human heads on those spikes? I think the answer is yes. The human trachea is fairly narrow; if you can wedge the head onto there with the spike going into the trachea, it should stay on pretty well. You might want to space the heads out a little, because if they're side by side they'll be rubbing cheeks. Or you could turn two of the heads so it looked like they were kissing.

I would love to see the beginning from around Arcadia. I grew up about thirty miles from there. I will have to get a pic of a shot up "Welcome to Arcadia" sign. Steve knows the area, I think. A shot up sign shouldn't be too terribly hard to find LOL.

Pete's travels in Florida aren't really detailed enough to map, I'm afraid. Places are mentioned but not routes. I do plan to put up a map of the "flashback" chapter 7 route in Southern Florida from Pete's high school to his house on the day of the Change.

Thank you, that will be neat.
I do think the way you have incorporated the maps so the reader can follow along is very cool.
